Goo Goo Dolls' new album expected May 7

Grammy-nominated rock band Goo Goo Dolls plans to release a new album, "Magnetic," on May 7, a band news release said.The first single being promoted on the album, "Rebel Beat," will launch officially Feb. 12, but you can listen to it on the video player accompanying this story or at www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jUcEgDnujY.

Goo Goo Dolls' singer-guitarist John Rzeznik, bassist Robby Takac and drummer Mike Malinin recorded the new CD in New York, London and Los Angeles.

The Buffalo, N.Y., band plans to tour later this year, the news release said.
