The English, Bonter, Mitchell Foundation approved a donation of $75,000, while the Edward and Mary McCrea Wilson Foundation pledged $50,000.Old National Bank Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Old National Bank, is accepting applications for its current grant cycle.
The Strategic Grants Program provides grants of $5,000 or more to eligible nonprofit organizations to support initiatives directly aligned with the funding priorities of the foundation. The Community Partnership Grants Program provides smaller grants of up to $2,500 to eligible nonprofit organizations to support immediate project-based needs. Community Partnership Grants are accepted on a rolling basis, while Strategic Grants are awarded twice per year. The upcoming deadline for initial applications to the Strategic Grants Program is Feb. 1.

Any family or individual earning less than $57,000 annually qualifies for the Free Tax Preparation program organized by members of the Financial Stability Partnership. Free tax preparation is available Feb. 2-April 13.
