To become a certified Indiana Master Naturalist, participants must:
•Pay the $80 course registration fee
•Attend an orientation session 6-9:30 p.m. Feb. 12
•Attend a minimum of eight of the nine class sessions 6-9:30 p.m. Tuesdays or 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturdays Feb. 26-May 14.
•Complete 33 volunteer hours
•Help the community become more educated about nature
•Help promote, plan and maintain and install natural areas
The Allen County Parks Department, and the Fox Island Alliance will be hosts for the training.
The class is limited to 30 people.
Applications may be picked up at the nature centers at Fox Island County Park, 7324 Yohne Road, and Metea County Park, 8401 Union Chapel Road. Applications can also be downloaded at www.allencountyparks.org or at www.foxislandalliance.org.
