A man was seriously injured after a van he was working on fell on him, according to a Fort Wayne Police report.Police were told that the man, whose name was not listed, was pinned by the van after it slipped off a jack at 12:47 p.m. Monday in the 1800 block of Hillside Drive, according to the report. The man was taken in serious condition to Parkview North.A Burger Dairy III clerk reported that a man shot at him but did not rob the business.

The clerk and a customer were inside the store, 811 E. Pontiac St., just before 9:45 p.m. Saturday. They reported to police that a man dressed in black with a blue bandana over his face came in and pointed a silver handgun at the clerk, according to a Fort Wayne Police Department report. A second man ran in behind the first man and he was wearing dark-colored clothing with a white bandana over his face.

The clerk said he dropped to the floor and the customer said he ran to a back room as a gunshot went off. Neither was struck by the gunfire and the two assailants fled the store without taking anything, according to the report.

An officer collected a 9mm projectile and shell casing from the business, which had been open a month, according to the report.Victims of a Friday burglary provided police with a location of their items that led to an arrest, according to a Fort Wayne Police Department report.

A couple on Evanwood Court reported Sunday that a global-positioning system showed an iPad stolen in a burglary Friday was in the 7600 block of Hessen Cassel Road. A police officer went to the residence and received permission from the tenant to search someone's bedroom, according to the report. There, the officer reported finding several items taken from the Evanwood residence, including a Kodak digital camera, Oakley sunglasses, as well as a Nike duffel bag that contained black latex gloves and a prybar, according to the report. The officer also allegedly found 59 .22-caliber live rounds but no firearm.

A male suspect said he had bought the stolen items from a friend and knew they were "hot." He was charged with theft and receiving stolen property and taken to the Allen County Jail.
