New Haven Citizens' Academy still has openings
Applications are due Friday for the New Haven Citizens' Academy. The nine weekly Monday sessions run 6-8:30 p.m. Jan. 28 to April 1 in the Police Training Room in City Hall. Sessions teach the inner workings of city government through department heads and tours of department facilities. There is no charge to participate.
Contact Deb-Anne Smith, executive assistant to the mayor, at 748-7070 to request an application or e-mail her at dsmith@newhavenin.org and fill out the online application, or stop at the mayor's office in City Hall, 815 Lincoln Hwy E., to pick up one.
