George Powell Photography will be donating its services to provide Waynedale-area parents with a free updated photograph of their children.George Powell, with help from other sponsors, wants to help those who can't afford to buy recent photos through schools or other means. Powell sees this as a safety issue because many parents do not have updated photos if their children are abducted or lost.

To take part, stop by the new Waynedale News building at 2505 Lower Huntington Road, across from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday or noon-5 p.m. Sunday to receive a digital copy as well as a 4x6 photo. This is a first-come first-serve event, so children should be dressed and ready to have the photo taken.
