According to court documents, on Jan. 15, the woman was shown various photos and was able to identify Hamlet. A lab report found Hamlet's fingerprints on the duct tape that had bound the male subject. According to court documents, the alleged victim said he was approached by Knight near the Broadway Grill, where Knight asked him for money. The man said he gave Knight $3, he told police, but Knight kept asking for more and then reached towards his pocket. Afraid Knight was armed, he ran down Broadway with Knight chasing him until he reached the BP Gas station at the intersection of Broadway and Taylor. Knight then ran across the street into the Rock.
Police arrived and found Knight in the Rock. The man who was chased identified him as the robber.
