Adams County police search for man wanted on criminal confinement warrant

Monday, February 11, 2013 - 12:38 am

The Adams County Sheriff Department is asking for the public's help in finding a man for whom they were attempting to serve an arrest warrant Sunday night.

The sheriff's department is searching for 26-year-old Wade Richard Crone, who is believed to be carrying multiple handguns and poses a threat to both the public and to law enforcement, according to a news release from the Indiana State Police.

At about 5 p.m., the sheriff department received information that Crone was in a residence in the 1200 block of Master Drive in Decatur. He is wanted on one count of criminal confinement, a Class D felony, through the Adams Superior Court, according to the release.

Sheriff Shane Rekeweg got assistance from the Indiana State Police Emergency Response Team to serve the search warrant. Between 8 and 9 p.m., police went into the residence, but no one was inside.

Crone stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. He has blond hair, blue eyes and a tattoo on the left side of his neck. Anyone who sees Crone should contact the Adams County Sheriff Department at 1-260-724-5345 or Adams County Crimestoppers at 1-260-692-2882.
