Mother's Day always falls on a weekend, she explained, so drivers and other temporary workers are easier to hire. Another challenge for Valentine's Day: Flowers have to be wrapped against the cold.
On Wednesday, her shop was bustling as she and her employees worked to get 400-500 arrangements ready for the holiday.
