The album, which contains the hit single “Chalk Outline,” is the first the group has recorded with noted music producer Don Gilmore, who also has worked with the groups Linkin Park, Hollywood Undead and Bullet for My Valentine, a concert news release said.
Band members are Adam Gontier, lead vocals and guitar; Brad Walst, bass and vocals; Neil Sanderson, drums, vocals and keyboards; and Barry Stock, guitar.
Shinedown also has been riding a wave of rock popularity: The group's latest album, “Amaryllis,” debuted in March at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, the concert news release said. Group members Brent Smith (vocals), Barry Kerch (drums), Zach Myers (guitar) and Eric Bass (bass) already have seen three songs on the album become hit singles — “Bully,” “Unity” and “Enemies.”
P.O.D. (Payable on Death) is touring to promote its album “Murdered Love,” which the group released in July. The song “Lost in Forever” from the album hit No. 1 on Billboard's Active Rock Radio chart, the first No. 1 for the group, the news release said. Formed in 1992, P.O.D. has received three Grammy Award nominations over the years and has contributed to many movie soundtracks.
