An Auburn teen suffered a broken leg in a crash Wednesday afternoon in DeKalb County.

The 16-year-old was on a Suzuki ATV that was traveling north on Daisy Lane and crossing County Road 68 at 3:10 p.m. when it failed to yield to an oncoming car, according to a DeKalb County Sheriff's Department news release.

The ATV was struck head-on by the car, a Chevrolet Impala, which was westbound on County Road 68, according to the report. Both vehicles came to rest in a field on the north side of County Road 68.

The teen was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center to be treated for injuries to his lower right leg.

DeKalb County EMS, Jackson Township Fire Department, Avilla Police Department, Indiana State Police, and the Indiana Conservation Office assisted at the scene.
