Shopping column: Diamonds will dazzle in trunk show at Macy’s

Macy's fine jewelry department is hosting the Le Vian Jewelry Trunk Show 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Feb. 25. The event features the largest collection of natural-color diamonds ever in-store, including Le Vian's Chocolate diamonds and the hottest color trends of the year: Neon Tangerine Fire Opal and Neon Blue Paraiba Tourmaline.Le Vian Couture is offering a Sunny Yellow Diamond ring and/or pendent at exclusive day-of-show pricing.

There is a limited quantity of these items, and they will be available one per collector while supplies last.

Macy's is at Glenbrook Square, 4201 Coldwater Road.Thinking spring? Fort Wayne Outfitters and Bike Depot, 1004 Cass St., has some deals you may be interested in. Now might be the time to take your bike in for some pampering, or if you don't have one, buy one. Choose a new ride, take it home today and pay no interest for six months. Also, the store has a recycling program. You can bring in gently used gear for resale.

Once it sells, you get a gift card for the entire amount. The store accepts shoes, clothing, gear (snowshoes, bags etc.) that are gently used.

Items need to be quality goods such as Patagonia, Merrell or Lole, and must be clean. Most gear will be 75 percent off retail.Radio station WMEE, 97.3-FM, is hosting a Baby Fair and Family Expo 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Memorial Coliseum, 4000 Parnell Ave.

It's the place for those who are expecting and those who already are parents to go to learn about products and services for your family.

The event is free and will include a play area filled with slides, bounce houses, coloring tables and a tricycle track. There will be a Diaper Dash to reveal which baby is the fastest crawler in Fort Wayne. Stage activities and seminars also are planned.
