Fort Wayne Police arrested three men who allegedly fled from a speeding car early this morning after a report that a trio broke into a home, according to police scanner traffic.
One man was taken into custody at around 7:40 a.m. after the men ran from a speeding car in the 900 block of Delaware Avenue; the other two, possibly armed with a shotgun, were captured five minutes later without a gun, but shotgun shells were in one man’s pocket, after a chase on the Greenway, according to scanner traffic.
Three men dressed all in black reportedly broke into a home through a window where people were inside. Dispatch was called at 7:30 a.m. after a person inside the home said someone was breaking in and screamed before the phone disconnected, according to scanner traffic.
A responding officer saw a vehicle matching the description of the one the burglars fled in at State Boulevard and Parnell Avenue that led to the chase and the eventual arrest of the three suspects.
