Blood drive

Huntington University's Joe Mertz Center for Volunteer Service will host a blood drive at 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, in the upper level of the Habecker Dining Commons, Huntington. Donors will be entered into a regional drawing to wind a deluxe package that includes two VIP tickets to the NCAA Sweet 16 and Elite 8 Midwest Regional games at Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, as well as lodging accommodations and a $250 Visa gift card. The blood drive is open to the public. Walk-ins are acceptable, but participants must have a photo ID.

Lutheran Health Network Bariatric Center will host an information session at 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the northeast corner of the Rehabilitation Hospital, 7970 W. Jefferson Blvd. on the Lutheran Hospital campus.

Blood drives

Glenbrook Automotive Group will hold a blood drive with the American Red Cross at 8-10:30 a.m. at Glenbrook Hyundai, 4801 Coldwater Road, and 12:30-3 p.m. Saturday at Glenbrook Dodge Chrysler Jeep, 100 W. Coliseum Blvd. Donors will received a voucher for one free oil change plus filter with up to 5 quarts of non-synthetic oil and a free car wash.

Parkview Health will hold the following classes in February and March.

•Sleep Safe Class will be 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Lamaze Classroom; 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Feb. 25 at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Lamaze Classroom; 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Monday, March 4 at A Baby's Closet, 4800 S. Calhoun St.; 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. March 11 at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Lamaze Classroom; 5:30-7 p.m. March 19 at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Lamaze Classroom; and 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. March 25 at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Lamaze Classroom. Eating Disorder awareness

A local National Eating Disorder Awareness Week event will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Feb. 27 at Walb Student Union Ballroom, IPFW, 2101 E. Coliseum Blvd. Theme will be “Mirror, Mirror on the Wall … Reflections from Within.”

Participants will learn the truth behind eating disorders and learn ways to enhance body image and self-esteem while being inspired by creative works of art, dance, songs, engaging speakers, personal stories and monologues. The event is free and open to the public.
