Auto dealership reports stolen catalytic converters

A Fort Wayne auto dealership called police Monday morning after someone apparently stole catalytic converters from at least half a dozen vehicles overnight.

Officers responded at about 9:50 a.m. to Superior Auto, 1944 Bluffton Road, after the dealership found that the parts were missing from seven vehicles on the lot, police said. Police were still at the scene as of 10:15 a.m., said Fort Wayne Police spokeswoman Officer Raquel Foster.

Auto parts store Auto Zone lists many new catalytic converters at more than $200 on its website.
