Writers lecture
Jean Bansemer, founder of the writing workforce company My Web Writers, will speak about the importance for writers to stay active in their careers during the Forester Lecture Series at 7 p.m. Sunday at Huntington University, in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts, Huntington. Free admission.
Open laptop lab for adults
Adults may receive help with resumes, job searches, Facebook accounts and learning English through using Rosetta Stone with an open laptop lab 10 a.m.-noon Saturdays during February at Pontiac branch library, 2215 S. Hanna St.

Children can practice their reading skills by reading to friendly dogs that want to listen at these locations:
