Recently assigned Komets goaltener Jeff Deslauriers had a strong game Friday night in his Fort Wayne debut, making 28 saves.Weird, because of the lockout and everything. It's been very unusual. There are a lot of things that are out of my control, and I'm just trying to make the best of it. It's a boring answer, but I'm trying to control what I can control.I'm in top shape, 100 percent, but I haven't had many chances to play. Why, I don't know. Two weeks ago at home against Wilkes-Barre in Norfolk, and then I got called up to St. Louis where they were in the middle of a 12-day road trip. I flew back with them to Anaheim and they told me on Monday night I was flying out Tuesday. I've been everywhere, played everywhere, seen every rink in AHL and ECHL.To get out there and play hockey, it's been some time since I've done that and that's what I love to do. I just tried to have fun, stop the puck and give the guys a chance to win. It was different, but I know what I have to do for the weekend. It was OK, but you can never be satisfied when you don't win the game. The first period was an adjustment for me and then I kind of changed and saw how the play looked. They worked for their second goal. They were first on the puck and made a good play. It's hockey and those things happen. Now we have to focus on tomorrow's game.
