Coroner identifies Fort Wayne man killed in Saturday shooting

The Allen County Coroner's Office has identified the victim of a shooting early Saturday as Antonio Galvan III, 28, of Fort Wayne.He was pronounced dead at 1:20 a.m. Saturday at the scene of a shooting in the 3000 block of McDonald Street.

An autopsy performed Saturday on the man, who had not then been positively identified, showed he died of a gunshot wound or wounds, according to a news release Sunday morning. The coroner's office does not release how many times a victim was shot.

Galvan's death was the sixth homicide in Allen County so far this year, according to the coroner's office.

The case remains under investigation by Fort Wayne Police, the coroner's office and the Allen County Prosecutor's Office.
