Stabbing victim refuses to tell who did it or where it happened

Tuesday, February 26, 2013 - 8:52 am

A man was stabbed Saturday evening, but was unwilling to explain exactly where the stabbing had occurred, or who stabbed him.

According to a report from the Fort Wayne Police Department, an officer responded to Parkview Medical Center on Saturday night to interview a man who had two stab wounds. One of the wounds was deep enough to cut one of his lungs.

According to the police report: Medical workers told the officer the man had said he had gotten between two females at Piere’s, 5629 St. Joe Road, and that one of the girls had stabbed him. When the officer interviewed the man’s wife alone in the hallway, she said they had gone out for her birthday to the Woodland Lounge, but her husband and some of the “guys” had gone somewhere else and she went home. She said his mother called her at around 3:54 a.m. and told her about the stabbing.

When the husband was interviewed alone, he was very vague about what happened, saying there was an argument outside and he had tried to break it up when “some guy” hit him in the back. He couldn’t give the officer an exact address of the business where it had happened. He did say he had gone to the Woodland Lounge earlier in the evening with his wife and that she had driven him to the hospital.

A cousin gave a vague description of a perpetrator.
