Letter to the editor: Keep opinion off the front page

Thursday, February 28, 2013 - 12:01 am

I am 25-year subscriber to The News Sentinel. Increasingly, I have noticed the prominent placement of opinion pieces on page one. The latest example (on Feb. 19) was trumpeted by the major top-of-page headline: “Raising minimum wage a bad idea.” Please, please, please separate news from opinion. I expect to be disappointed by your consistently reactionary missives on the editorial page. On page one, stick to the news. For the record, I would make the same point even if I agreed with your writers.
