Dawson’s Feb. 8 letter to the editor, “Just trying to be a loyal, gunless Democrat,” just made me laugh after my eyes captured five kitchen knives. Your majesty, I just have to thank you for adding more joys into my full-of-joy day.
We may not share the same point of view on carrying guns or any weapons publicly, but I respect your point of view.
Yes, at times, we (the public) spend a wonderful amount of our time judging and forget to take things easily and enjoy the fun part of a debate started by another person and stress so much that we forget to thank the person who started the debate what a cleverness you started the foundation of the debate building and let the readers finish building the house wondering what shape the house would look like after construction is complete.
Thanks to Dawson and thanks to The News-Sentinel for publishing this particular letter. I am sure it put smiles on so many people’s faces regardless of whether they agree or not. It surely entertained me, a human from Somalia, Africa.
As a member of National Forensic League I am reminded to debate while having a laugh. I just want to encourage Dawson to write a funnier and yet real letter like this.
