Indiana Tech scholar-athletes honored

Basketball players excel in classroom

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes and Indiana Tech's Kendall Guthrie (Lake Oswego, OR/Lake Oswego) and Bryn Schlatter from Antwerp, Ohio, were two of the 178 Division II women's basketball student-athletes recognized for their academic excellence.

Guthrie, a sport management major from Lake Oswego, Oregon, and Schlatter, an elementary education major from Antwerp, Ohio, earned the honor by maintaining a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
