The Allen County Coroner's Office has ruled that Mark Young died by homicide, the ninth homicide in Allen County so far this year.
Young, 25, was pronounced dead at Lutheran Hospital on Friday after he was found critically wounded early that morning in the 3400 block of Reed Street. The coroner's office ruled that the cause of death was a gunshot wound or wounds, based on an autopsy performed Saturday at the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the coroner's office and the Allen County Prosecutor's Office.
