The identity of a third man shot in as many days has been identified. Jordan D. Williams, 21, of Fort Wayne, remained in critical condition Monday morning, according to Raquel Foster, Fort Wayne Police Department spokeswoman.A preliminary investigation indicates that an unknown person knocked at 3:58 a.m. Saturday on the door of a home in the 4500 block of Bowser Avenue and asked for a person who was inside. When Williams came to the door, the unknown person opened fire, striking Williams.

A police news release said there could have been more than one shooter at the location and that a gold-colored SUV was seen leaving the area immediately after the shooting.

Two other men shot last week died. Mark Young, 25, was pronounced dead at Lutheran Hospital on Friday after he was found critically wounded at around 3:28 a.m. Friday in the 3400 block of Reed Street. Demarcus Adams, 23, was shot and killed Thursday evening near the intersection of Abbott Street and McKee Street. Police were called at around 7:50 p.m. Thursday and found Adams in a parked, four-door car. Witnesses reportedly told investigators that a vehicle pulled up next to the parked vehicle and multiple shots were fired.

Adams and Young are Allen County's eighth and ninth homicides of the year, respectively.

All three shootings remain under investigation.
