Coroner's office identifies Fort Wayne driver killed in SUV crash

Thursday, March 21, 2013 - 1:55 pm

The Allen Coroner's Office has identified a woman who was killed Wednesday afternoon after she was ejected from her SUV in a rollover accident.

Rhonda M. Rider, 41, of Fort Wayne, died after the vehicle she was driving ran off the north side of Washington Center Road at Flaugh Road at 3:40 p.m. and started to roll. Allen County Sheriff's deputies said Rider was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing her seat belt and speed was also a factor in the crash, according to the Sheriff's Department.

The coroner's office ruled that her death was accidental and that she died from blunt force injury in the wreck.
