Home invasion victim dies; death ruled homicide

A southwest Allen County man who was reportedly shot during a home invasion died and his death has been ruled a homicide by the Allen County coroner's office.

Robert W. Kanyuh, 65, died after 10 p.m. Saturday at Lutheran Hospital from complications of a gunshot wound, according to a news release from the coroner's office.

According to the Allen County Sheriff's Department, Kanyuh was shot in the stomach. during an invasion at his home at around 11 a.m. Saturday in the 13600 block of Lafayette Center Road.

The case remains under investigation by the sheriff's department, the coroner's office and the Allen County prosecutor's office.
