A property management business was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday.
According to an incident report from the Fort Wayne Police Department, officers were dispatched to Eisaman Roemmich Property Management, 2109 S. Calhoun St., to investigate a holdup alarm at about 5 p.m. En route, officers were advised that the incident was actually an armed robbery.
Responders were told that two people entered the business, with one pointing a handgun at a person at the front counter. The armed robber demanded money while people inside the business were forced to the floor.
Once the robber received cash, those inside the business were forced into a restroom, with a desk placed in front of the door to hinder their escape, according to the report.
Basic descriptions of the robbers were given, with both men wearing jeans, sneakers, masks and gloves. One wore a blue, hooded sweat shirt, while the other had on a blue sweat shirt.
Two cell phones were taken during the robbery, with both recovered in the area near Warsaw Street and Buchanan Street. No injuries were noted in the incident report.
