A 21-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after a Noble County arrest warrant was served by members of an anti-crime enforcement team. The arrest was made in Wolcottville, which is in LaGrange County. Zakery E. DeCamp was wanted for an alleged probation violation that was in effect from an original charge of receiving stolen property, according to a news release.

DeCamp had avoided arrest for the last year, the release said, but around 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, authorities went to an apartment in the 100 block of North 2nd Street in Wolcottville after receiving a tip about DeCamp's location.

DeCamp was not found during an initial sweep of the residence but suspicions were raised when an attic access door was observed to have moved. Law enforcement members attempted to pull the door open, the release said, but DeCamp, who was in the attic, tried keeping the door closed. He was eventually escorted down from the attic, arrested and taken to the Noble County Jail.
