Briefs: Benefits for Healthier Moms and Babies, Crime Victims' Rights Week

The Healthier Moms and Babies project will hold its Spring Luncheon and silent auction at 11 a.m. May 7 at the Landmark Conference and Reception Center, 6222 Ellison Road. Registration deadline is Friday.Terra Brantley, morning and noon news anchor at WANE, Channel 15, will be honored as recipient of the organization's Inspiration Award.

A nonprofit organization, Healthier Moms and Babies works to improve pregnancy outcomes and reduce infant mortality by providing health education and case management to at-risk families.The Central Branch YMCA, 1020 Barr St., will hold a Zumbathon from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday to benefit the Crime Victim Care program and the YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign. Admission is free and donations will be accepted.

The event coincides with observance of national Crime Victims' Rights Week.
