The Heritage Patriots won the Allen County Athletic Conference baseball championship with a 10-3 win over Garrett on Thursday. The win gave the Patriots a 6-0 ACAC record with only a game with Southern Wells next Thursday remaining. All the other teams in the ACAC have at least two losses. This is the Patriots’ 10th ACAC title since 2000.

Freshman pitcher Andrew Saalfrank got the win for Heritage and also collected three RBIs.

Saalfrank struck out seven batters in six innings while walking one to improve his record to 4-0.

Cole Gerardot led Heritage’s 11-hit attack by going 3 for 4 at the plate with a triple.

Others collecting multiple hits for the Patriots were Wil Knapke and Landon Harris with two each. Knapke scored three runs and Harris had two RBIs.

Heritage is 10-6 overall.
