PLAINFIELD — The FBI has identified the man shot and killed by agents after a central Indiana bank robbery.

It says 43-year-old William McKnight of Indianapolis was fatally wounded after brandishing a handgun and refusing to comply with an order to drop his weapon after the robbery Friday at a branch of the State Bank of Lizton in Plainfield, about 15 miles west of Indianapolis.

Two other suspects, 24-year-old Demetrius Worley and 44-year-old Lori Armstrong of Indianapolis, were being held Sunday at the Hendricks County Jail in Danville. Records there don't indicate whether they have attorneys. No charges have been filed in the case yet.

The FBI says its Safe Streets Task Force was conducting surveillance at the time on a suspicious vehicle that turned out to be the robbers' getaway vehicle.
