Memorial moves

The city on Friday morning rededicated a World War I memorial it had moved to McCulloch Park.

The memorial had been located behind a fence on the grounds of General Electric for the last 89 years. The memorial was erected on Nov 11, 1924 in honor of the 748 Fort Wayne Works General Electric Company employees who served in World War I. Six employees who died in the war are named at the top of the memorial.
