As the coordinator of the local Project Linus chapter, I have been overwhelmed over the past 10 years by the generosity of the people and businesses of Fort Wayne. Every time our chapter has a need, someone has magically appeared with a helping hand. Immediately after the tornado hit Moore, Okla., the chapter coordinator in Oklahoma City requested Project Linus chapters across the country to send blankets for the children who were victims. Our local Blanketeers immediately packed three large boxes and put out a request for a quick, economical way to get the blankets to the victims. Do It Best Corporation stepped up immediately! Through the efforts of people in their corporate office, our blankets went on a Do It Best truck. More than 500 Project Linus blankets were delivered to Oklahoma from all over the United States.

I’d like to thank Do It Best and all those involved for their immediate and generous response to the latest need forur chapter.

Peggy Albertson

Project Linus Chapter Coordinator for Fort Wayne/NE Indiana Chapter
