Financial help

Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana will host “Simple Steps to Get More of Your Money Back in Your Pocket” 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Healing Arts Center, 6316 Mutual Drive. Presenter will be Mike LeClear of FinancialHope. The event is free and open to the public. Reservations are required.

Alzheimer’s workshop

The Alzheimer's Association will hold “Know the 10 Signs,” a free workshop on detecting the warning signs of Alzheimer's disease, noon-1 p.m. June 26 at 6324 Constitution Drive. The workshop is open to the public. Registration is required; call 1-800-272-3900.

Dual benefit event

A fundraiser to benefit Orlan Holmes, a double-lung transplant recipient, and Locks of Love takes place 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday-Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at A Cut Above Hair Salon, 4514 Parnell Ave. Locks of Love provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from hair loss from any diagnosis.

The National Foundation for Transplants also will have cookbooks for sale to assist with Holmes' medical expenses.
