Rhonda Pequignot of the Community Foundation of Fort Wayne participated in Take Your Dog to Work Day on Friday.

The campaign was created by Pet Sitters International (PSI) in 1999. It encourages workplaces around the globe to open their doors to employees' four-legged best friends for one summer Friday. The Community Foundation of Fort Wayne allows employees to bring their dogs to work on slow Fridays, but they limit it to one dog at a time.

The idea of the international event is to celebrate the great companions dogs make and to promote their adoptions from local shelters, humane societies and animal-rescue groups.
