The Salvation Army is soliciting donations for its “Tools for School” program that assists families in need by providing school supplies such as book bags, calculators, and other items for children in grades K-12. These necessary items are all donated by the community, enabling children to head back to school with the supplies they need.

Items needed for kids, with the most important needs first:

•Backpacks, the most-needed item

•Notebooks – Wide rule and college rule

•Filler Paper – Wide rule and college rule

•Facial tissues



•Pencil boxes – small enough to fit in a school desk


•Folders – pocket and three-prong


•Washable markers – thin and fat

•Crayons – 24 count boxes

•Pencils and pens

•Glue bottles and glue sticks

•Colored pencils

•Dry erase markers (Black, Green, Red, Blue, Purple)

•Composition books
