Fort Wayne/Allen County road work for week of July 1

A section of Eby Road will be closed as of Tuesday to allow for the installation of a sanitary sewer main.According to the Allen County Highway Department, the section of Eby Road between Wheelock and Schwartz roads will close at 8 a.m. Tuesday and will remain so until 5 p.m. Friday.A section of Halter Road that is currently closed is now scheduled to reopen Friday.

The extension of the closure of Halter between St. Joe Road and Indiana 1 was announced by the Allen County Highway Department. It has been closed since June 17 and is now scheduled to be open as of 5 p.m. Friday.A roundabout's construction on Union Chapel Road will need more time for completion.

According to the Allen County Highway Department, the section of Union Chapel Road at Diebold Road (between Tonkel and Auburn roads) will remain closed until 5 p.m. July 15.

The road is currently closed at that location; a detour route will be posted, according to the highway department.A section of Woodridge Drive in New Haven will remain closed until at least July 9.

The section of Woodridge between Birchpark Drive to the terminus was originally closed May 29, according to the New Haven Engineering Department. It was scheduled to reopen June 19, but a news release Friday announced the extension of the closure until July 9.

No detour is provided for that closure.
