The tests, which are valued at more than $100, measure 10 key health indicators — total cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, body mass index, body composition, skeletal muscle, resting metabolism, visceral fat, real body age and body weight, a Walgreens news release said.
The tests are available to adults ages 18 and older, and will be done by certified wellness staff, the news release said. Testing takes about 20 minutes and is designed to help prevent or to provide early detection of health problems.
Visitors also can take home free educational information on many health and wellness issues, with copies available in both English and Spanish, the news release said. Test participants also will be eligible for a free, one-year AARP membership.
The is the fifth year Walgreens and AARP have collaborated on this program. It also is a part of Walgreens' Way to Well Commitment, a four-year, $100 million effort to improve the health of all Americans.
