For several weeks, I have had a major problem with my Janome sewing machine. Edwards Sewing Center has gone out of their way to fix my machine. Chad can fix anything, and Lisa is a gem. Their customer service cannot be beaten! Thanks, Edwards!Yesterday, I witnessed a very elderly Amish gentleman pull up to the door of the Save A Lot in Grabill and hand his grocery list to one of the cashiers inside, who cheerfully shopped for him and then delivered the groceries back to him while he waited in his buggy. I was touched at the kindness of our little hometown grocery. Kudos to Save A Lot!

Many, many thanks to the woman who stopped her car and retrieved my dog on her leash. She had wandered from me while doing yard work and walked behind the fence to the busy road. I still panic when I think I almost lost her, if not for the kindness and time this woman took to rescue her before a tragedy. I wish I had gotten her name, so I hope she sees this: Many thanks and appreciation.

Since The Rant gets so many complaints about high gas prices, when today (on a weekend) I saw gas at one retailer for $3.349 a gallon, I thought that I'd give a Tip of the Hat to that retailer. Just sending out some good gas price karma!

Wonderful fireworks display from the Turtle Days 2013 at Churbusco park.

Three cheers to Preferred Auto on Illinois Road for excellent services, surpassing any expectations we could ever have had. We will be back when we need another car!
