Friday, July 26, 2013 - 12:49 pm

A man has been arrested and charged in connection to the death of a man who was found lifeless in the back yard of a High Street residence.

According to a news release from the Fort Wayne Police Department, 28-year-old Steven L. Lemler faces a preliminary charge of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of Kirk D. Lecount, 42, of Fort Wayne.

Lecount was found in the back yard of the residence at 1707 High St. on July 18. The Allen County Coroner's Office ruled that Lecount died of blunt-force trauma to the head and that the death was a homicide, Allen County's 26th of the year.

Lemler was taken into custody without incident on Friday morning and is currently in the Allen County Jail.
