As The News-Sentinel reported last week, Allen County Council on Monday agreed to spend up to $4.6 million to add infrastructure to about 124 acres of county-owned property near Interstate 69 and Lafayette Center Road.

The county bought land in what is now called the Stonebridge Business Park three years ago but acknowledged Monday the lack of roads, utilities, drainage and other features may have deterred development. Addition of those features will allow prospective employers to move more quickly. Officials hope to recover the county's investment by selling lots to private developers or companies.
