I just read Nancy Carlson Dodd’s essay about how the city parks should be renamed to match the statues that are in them.
Nancy is absolutely right, but let’s take it one step further. When they’re done “restoring” that I-beam “sculpture” that recently got hit by a truck and it’s back on display, let’s rename the Museum of Art so as to achieve the same kind of consistency as naming the parks for the statues that are in them. “City Dump” or “City Scrap Metal Storage Center” would be most appropriate, I would think.
