These facts expose this multi-thousand-page Obamacare’s fatal flaws. Indeed, politicians will continue to promise more “free” benefits in order to gain votes, without exposing or understanding the costs and other issues, such as availability and quality.
Accordingly, more government-funded bureaucracies (with no profit motive to effectively limit their scope) will appear and grow, further dragging down the system with more regulations and cost.
Thus, the key decisions, availability, quality and cost of our health care will be totally out of our and our doctors’ hands.
For a preview of things to come with the current law, look beyond the “Wizard of Obama” curtain and notice the individuals, labor unions, insurance and other corporations, including hospitals and doctors, flailing and wallowing around in the muck of confusion and uncertainty.
Perhaps the best answer to this dilemma is to delay further implementation until after the 2014 elections. Then, the next Congress can objectively (if that’s possible) evaluate all elements of the current legislation with the key objectives to get doctors and patients in the loop on benefits and treatments, limit bureaucracy and expose and reduce costs.
