Fight ends up with drug charges against Auburn man

A man faces charges after Auburn police officers who were called to a fight discovered handguns and drugs after stopping two vehicles with people involved.Police officers responded at 7:36 p.m. Monday to a fight in progress in the 1100 block of Ralph Street. Two vehicles left before police arrived. Officers found the two vehicles and discovered marijuana, paraphernalia and two .38-caliber handguns, according to a news release.

Zachary Chaffins, 22, of Auburn, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with a previous conviction, a Class D felony; and possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, both Class A misdemeanors.

Other charges were pending.
