The Dollar General Literacy Foundation awarded $3,000 in grants to support youth literacy programs at the Fort Wayne Urban League.AARP Allen County and Citilink have partnered to offer public transportation to seniors. Citilink will provide free day passes to the first 80 seniors who register 9:30-11 a.m. Oct. 1.The event includes a bus ride to the downtown Central Station. There will be a tour and orientation to learn how to ride buses, make transfers and read route maps, purchase tickets and senior discounts. Each registered guest will receive a free day pass to ride buses the rest of the day.
