INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Education is set to release statewide and school-level ISTEP scores after months of delays as online glitches with the standardized test were investigated.

A report found about 80,000 students in third through eighth grade had at least one part of the computerized test interrupted last spring when server troubles from state contractor CTB/McGraw-Hill kicked them offline. That's about 16 percent of all students who took the test.

An independent testing expert hired by the state determined that the interruptions had little effect on the scores.

The ISTEP scores being released Wednesday are typically rolled out during the summer. Individual student scores were made available to parents last week.
