Lions stay focused, do job and are rewarded

Saturday, October 12, 2013 12:22 am
LEO (8-0) — Lions are the lone really good team that always finds a way to take care of business. 2 NORTH SIDE (5-3) — Redskins can win SAC outright by focusing on Northrop and nothing else this week.

SNIDER (6-2) — Panthers have hit their stride offensively and are playing best ball of year right now.

BISHOP DWENGER (5-3) — Saints werethisclose to earning SAC championship.

NEW HAVEN (7-1) — Many a powerful team have fallen prey to the Knights of Kendallville.

CARROLL (6-2) — Remember the turnover-prone, 6th place Chargers? Yeah, they don't exist anymore.

WAYNE (6-2) — Robert Brown said in August this group was for real. No one listened.

CONCORDIA LUTHERAN (5-3) — Don't ever compare the SAC and the NECC. Ever.

EAST NOBLE (6-2) — A focused Knight team - in Kendallville - is a very dangerous group.

WOODLAN (5-3) — Warriors will earn 6th win next week, most since 2005.

NORWELL (3-5) — Knights have averaged 30 points per game over three-game win streak. Crazy.

HOMESTEAD (5-3) — Sparty is in midst of worst stretch of Chad Zolman era (likely 1-4 finish).

HERITAGE (5-3) — Patriots will close regular season with road win at Garrett for 6th victory.

CHURUBUSCO (7-1) — Where was the Eagles' defense against Fairfield? No where is the answer.

SOUTH SIDE (2-5) — Archers have just two wins, but have lost to really, really good teams.

ADAMS CENTRAL (5-3) — Soaring (of late) Flying Jets have puncher's chance against Woodlan.

COLUMBIA CITY (3-5) — Eagles' skid (lost 4 of 5) continues next week vs. smoking-hot Norwell.

BELLMONT (4-4) — No way Braves win at East Noble next week. So they probably will.

GARRETT (4-4) — Railroaders simply don't defend well enough to beat good teams.

NORTHROP (2-6) — Bruin Nation anticipating basketball season at this point.

BLUFFTON (4-4) — And next up on the "Leo beatdown" list is... the Tigers!

SOUTH ADAMS (2-6) — Starfires need to take advantage of a winnable game next week.

BISHOP LUERS (0-8) — No one in their right mind saw this season coming. Absolutely no one.

DeKALB (0-8) — Just about everyone saw this season coming.
