Ind. man says he fatally shot son

MARTINSVILLLE – A central Indiana man told authorities he fatally shot his son after being head butted, causing him to fall down the stairs. But witnesses gave a starkly different account, saying the father threatened to kill everybody in his house before the shooting.

David Carrender, 49, is charged with murder in the shooting death Sunday of his 19-year-old son, Wyatt Carrender, who was shot six times.
