Batten down the hatches for a happy Fort Wayne Halloween

Wednesday, October 30, 2013 - 1:53 pm

If you haven’t picked out a costume for trick-or-treating yet, move mermaid, deep-sea diver and Aquaman to the top of your list.

Fort Wayne is plunging ahead with trick-or-treating as scheduled Thursday, despite a National Weather Service forecast of an 80 percent chance of showers Thursday and Thursday night.

“Though we received some inquiries into the rescheduling of “Trick-or-Treating” due to the weather forecast, it was decided that because of several area events already scheduled for Friday evening, the move would create a burden for many families,” said a statement issued by Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry and Police Chief Rusty York.
