I am writing this letter in response to the Oct. 10 letter to the editor by Denver Howard of Andrews. While I will not dignify his “sour grapes” comments with a direct response, what I will do is point out what he deliberately neglected to mention in that letter.
Howard was treasurer of the Fort Wayne Oldtimer’s Baseball Association from 1998 to 2003 and of the Northeast Indiana Baseball Association (our new name) from 2003 to June 30, 2005. On that date he was officially removed as treasurer by unanimous vote of the board of directors for conduct detrimental to the organization.
Following periodic repeatedwarnings over the next three years, Howard’s membership in the organization was officially terminated on Sept. 30, 2008, by the board of directors for his continued and unabated conduct detrimental to the organization.
And now you know the rest of the story.
Don F. Graham, secretary, Northeast Indiana Baseball Association
